Zebrawood (Microberlinia brazzavillensis) has a light golden yellow heartwood with streaks of dark brown to black. The stripes can be chaotic and wavy (flatsawn) or somewhat uniform (quartersawn). Zebrawood has a medium to coarse texture, with a lustrous surface that works well with hand and machine tools and finishes well. Africa.

Unmatched knife blanks
Not even close to being a matched pair of knife blanks. I realize that this is wood and the grain pattern will vary, but I would have expected the blanks to be split from one larger piece so they had one matching piece. Not so with this set. One was all straight grain, and the other was a beautiful wavy grain pattern.
