    GOOD AS STARRETT?

I have purchased many rulers (including the best ones made for use in graphics arts). The Woodcraft rules are among the best out there. I have have a very expensive Starrett Combination Square and one Starrett rule. The Woodcraft rules have the same hand feel, quality feel, the etchings are accurate, consistent in width and depth and stand up to abuse. In fact, I have purchased two of the Woodcraft 3-piece sets which include the 6", 12" and 24"), plus two Woodcraft brand 36" rules and they are all true from rule to rule (this is obviously extremely important). While a little indulgent, I now have two matching sets (for guarantee of accuracy); one set in my workshop and a second set in my assembly/finishing room. The Woodcraft brand rules are the best value out there, and are comparable to the best rules on the market. Finally, my advice to anyone, buy the best steel, etched rules you can afford...do not buy any rule with the graduations painted on (usually aluminum).I would definitely recommend the Woodcraft brand rules to a friend and to everybody.
