Good product but it needs instructions
Bought these for bunk beds a client ordered where they want them to be able to be able to be disassembled as well as separated into twins, so I needed a solution to attach the rails which would work regardless of vertical orientation. They hold very well but I am knocking off as star as the instructions are completely missing with only the picture from the front cover to guide you. I would strongly suggest mortising the rails into the head and foot boards for additional stability, but PLEASE NOTE the two halves MUST be installed correctly for that to work. If you do as I did the first time you will not be able to insert the tenon into the mortise and fit the tabs of the hardware into the slots. You must attach these so the piece with the screw is on the rail (tenon) and the piece with the tabs is on the head/foot board (mortise). You may also want to install the screw side 1/16"-1/8" deeper than normal to allow the screw to pull it tight, somewhat like a drawbore.

These things are so much better than the brass colored ones. You will need to drill a hole about a quarter inch deep under the lock screw. I found the key was to attach it to the leg first then to the rail. Screw the lock screw into the leg bracket and back out about an eighth of an inch then attach it to the rail. Doing this will allow you to cinch down the rail for that perfect no wiggle bed.

Works Ok but be careful with positioing.
I have been making custom platform beds and other furniture for clients since 2011. Usually I do not need brackets for bed rails as my platform beds are designed differntly than standard beds. Occasionally, I have people request a standard bed with rails though and have used anoher style of bracket which work better than these in my opinion. They were out of stock at the other supplier si, I thought I'd try these. First problem for me was that the brackets are 3 3/4" wide which made them too big for the 3 1/2" "inner rails" of the client's bed. I managed to get them to work by hanging them down 1/4" of an inch and using only 3 of the 4 screw holes to fasten them. The corners still seem to be very strong even though one of the 8 screws is missing. There are no dimensions on the website and I took a chance that they were the same size as the others I'd used before. Second, positioning the brackets on the rails is extremely important and without instructions it's trial and error. And, if you're off 1/8" of an inch, like I was on my first corner, the corner joint will not be tight. Solution is to fasten the "bolt bracket" 3/16" of an inch back from the end of the rail, so the corners pull tight once the bolt is tightened. You'll also need to drill a 1/2" dia hole about 5/16" deep to accomodate the bolt and receiver. Not a big deal, but the other style brackets did not require this. Third, there will be play in the corners which in my opinion is necessary to avoid tear-out of the screws from natural movement of the bed. There is a lot of torque generated when the top of a headboard is pushed or leaned on. 5/8" long wood screws would loosen up after a while or just tear out without some flex in the fitting.

A good idea but I still experienced a lot of free play around the axis of the bolt and around the vertical axis as well (I did not, however, use it in the configuration shown in the picture, which may explain some of that).

A Solid Soloution
I used two sets of these brackets for some bunk beds and they were easily mounted. They created a solid connection, and the beds have very little play.

Great solution
I've been building furniture frames for over 25 years. I always hated when a customer would order a bed frame because of the poor options available for fastening the rails to the headboard and footboard. This is the solution! If you have any woodworking know-how at all this is easy to install, firmly tightens the joints together and most of all my customers love it. I never comment on any of this stuff but this thing is worth the time!

Worked for me
I'm not sure how this got a negative review. There are no instructions but they are not needed. I got and used 2 sets and they did everything as advertised. I thought it was ten bucks for one corner, but when I saw it was for the whole bed, I thought I had stepped back in time to the 1950s or something. They are very solid and lock together nicely, come to think of it, the 100 #8 screws nearly cost as much as the brackets.

Not impressed at all.
Thought this might be a good solution for improving an existing bed. WRONG. First, it is NOT flush mount. You will need to drill a recess for the bolt end and receiver on the headboard. With only one point of attachment (the bolt), there is too much play allowing the bed to rack too much. Also no instructions included. Looked promising, but I think I'll throw the other two sets in the trash and cut my losses.

Simple and wobble free corner bracket
These are great for concealed connections. The integral bolt makes it easy to solidly lock down the corners. Alignment posed no problems, but installation requires a recess to clear the protruding threads and bolt. That's a minor hassle but I just use an oversized forstener bit to keep things easy.
