Marblewood (Marmaroxylon racemosum) has heartwood in an orange-yellow color with black wavy streaking that gives it a marble appearance. Grain is interlocked and coarse textured. Turns well, but a sharp edge is recommended. Finishes to a high luster. Common uses include cabinet work, inlay and small decorative items, carving, turnings. Slab measures 2-3/8" x 15" +/- x 48" and has been surfaced both sides.
