Blade Width - Use the widest blade possible for straight cuts. Radius cuts, use the following
1/8” radius = 1/8” blade
5/16” radius = 3/16” blade
5/8” radius = ¼” blade
1-7/16” radius = 3/8” blade
2-5/8” = ½” blade
Tooth Shape
Regular – A conventional tooth used for general purpose sawing, straight or zero rake..
Hook – A 10° rake angle for fast cutting of hardwoods.
Skip – A 0° rake angle with expanded gullet area, excellent for cutting soft woods.
Pitch/Teeth per inch – Choose a coarser pitch if the speed of the cut is most important. Choose a fine pitch if finish is most important.
