Good idea, works great.
You can use off the shelf 9x11 sheet sandpaper.

Got to have it
I make a lot of small furniture items that all have some sort of curve requiring sanding. This with a drill press are a perfect pair. I can change out the grit to match how aggressive i need to be. Gives a nice smooth finish without hand sanding.
