      Nova G3 Chuck

Purchased the chuck and insert for an old Craftsman lathe. Everything works great and find this system to be a great value considering you can add other jaw sizes. The insert stays put as it should. If I get other lathes with different spindle I only need to go get the insert to fit the lathe. I have turned several bowls and spindles with it and expect this chuck will last a lifetime. Very happy.

      Exactly what I needed

Works as advertised. Plenty of gripping power and does exactly what I needed it to do.

      Very nice!

I bought this chuck about a year ago. I love the easy one hand geared chuck. Took me a couple times to remember it was reverse thread so I tighted the devil out of it trying to get it loose. No problem the chuck is built like a tank. Won't let loose of your work piece. I feel much safer. I got it as a kit with several jaw sets and I have no regrets.

      Nova G3 Chuck by Teknatool

There have been a lot of discussions on woodworkers forum about this chuck and that the insert works loose ...I haven't been able to use mine yet..I will check this out soon..It appears to be well built , but I would rather support American companies

      Just What the Doctor Ordered

This is my 2nd chuck, finally a REAL chuck. And it doesn't use Tommy bars. The chucking is precise and simple. I have enjoyed every minute of operation. I will buy more jaws. So far I have used it to make several little boxes - 1.5"-2" in diameter. This chuck is definately the right tool for me.

      Good value, good chuck

Great tool, and committing to the G3 gets you into a great brand and system. My G3 worked great for about a week and then the T handle just ripped. Yes it is solid metal, but the casting was bad (assumed) and there must have been a hairline crack. one time applying "normal" torque to check a piece of wood, and the thing broke in two. My local store went to great lengths to get me a new one quickly, and i was only down for a few days. I see this as a fluke in the quality control, but don't blame Nova or Woodcraft. all is well, and i am back in service. Thanks to the Orlando store, those folks are great.
