“The holiest of squares” – The LEDGE-IT by KAPRO® is the ideal everyday tool for your shop. The aluminum cast handle is a two-sided 3-D platform. Located inside the handle is a retractable metal edge support that makes it possible to balance the square on your workpiece. The square's “holiest of squares” nickname comes from the etched graduations and holes at every centimeter on the aluminum blade, a feature that gives you a fluid pencil marking every time.

Cannot Recommend
Despite the fact that it is clearly etched onto the square "Certified 90deg", it is not perfectly square. Over the length it is about 1/64" off, on the one I got. I think I can deal with it. The length is not 8". Mine was lopped off at what appears to be some arbitrary length. About 8-7/16". The measure scales run the same way on both sides, from the inside out, so you can't flip it over and measure from the outside in. The width of the 'handle' and the blade are both about 1-9/16", which makes using them for quick reference or marking, useless. The edges were not deburred and almost sharp enough to cut yourself. It's pretty inexpensive and not worth the effort returning it, so I'll try to adjust it. The product is made in China... need I say more?

The Square Wasn’t Square
Hoping to find an accurate square that isn’t in the Starrett-Woodpeckers price range, so I thought I would try this Kapro. Despite the “90 degree guarantee” stamped on the square, the 8” one I purchased was not close to being square. I returned the item. Could have been a one-off, but I didn’t feel like buying another one and trying again.
