ResawKing Bandsaw Blade 115" x .75" x Variable TPI
If you’re interested in maximizing the yield of expensive veneer grade woods and reducing the sanding necessary to create a finished surface while cutting through thick, heavy stock like a knife going through hot butter, this is the blade for you! Normal bandsaw blades use a hooked...
Items You May Need
Normal bandsaw blades use a hooked tooth design, with a set on each tooth that creates a larger kerf and leaves a rough cut. The Resaw King looks more like a table saw blade with its C4 carbide tipped teeth that are individually brazed and ground to perfection on a stress crack resistant Swedish silicon steel backing. Combine these one-of-a-kind features with the 3/4" width and the vibration/harmonic reducing 2-3 TPI variable pitch tooth design and the result is a massive blade that will easily slice ultra-smooth, wafer thin veneers with minimal waste.
All blades feature a .024" backing, 2-3 TPI with variable 12mm/14mm/16mm pitch to produce a .041" kerf.
• Reduces the amount of sanding needed
• Stress crack resistant Swedish silicon steel backing
• Will easily slice ultra-smooth veneers

Long lasting and clean cuts
I've used my Laguna bandsaw to mill wet lumber, and resaw thick (12") pieces of dry hardwood. Standard 3/4" 3 tpi blades at $40-50 would only last 30 minutes and start to burn. This carbide blade has been cutting for hours, and still eats through wood without burning, and I don't have to apply much pressure even in thick lumber. I'm not sure how many times I can resharpen this blade, but its definitely already outlasted 3 standard blades, and keeps cutting. I will never buy a standard metal resaw blade again, unless its for smaller radius work. I plan to buy a second carbide blade if I ever need to, and simply sharpen the old one, while I use the new one. Using this blade is a big time saver in terms of time spent changing blades and sharpening blades... and having your wood come out without burn marks. Should have used this one sooner- my only regret.
Amazing blade. Smooth, fast, elite, best blade available IMHO for my bandsaw.
You might be hesitant to purchase based on the price but you do get what you pay for. First of all, each of the teeth is carbide tipped. That's a major benefit. The cuts are fast, smooth, accurate, and even thick hardwoods are no problem. Secondly, they're more durable than any other blade I've used. I unfortunately and unknowingly cut through 2 imbedded 1/8" thick nails in a 24/4 piece of maple while I was resawing it. The nails must have been hammered into the tree when it was young and there was no detecting the metal unless I would have used, a metal detector. I didn't even discover the nails until the cut was finished (I thought I hit a bad knot). The nails were cut in half and after inspecting every tooth on the blade, none of the carbide teeth were broken or damaged. That was stunning. The third great benefit is that these blades can be resharpened. If you happen to be a self sharpener and are capable of sharpening the blade yourself, that is a major money saver. When I first bought my bandsaw (Laguna 14BX 220V) I bought 4 blades and none of them cut like the resaw king. The others are dramatically slower. I never want to take the resaw king off. I wish I could find thinner carbide tipped blades so that I can cut tighter curves with the efficiency of the resaw king but that just isn't possible. If I had hit a nail with any of the other blades I purchased, they'd immediately be trash. Not the resaw king. It should go without mention, the resaw king is not meant to cut nails. I was lucky to not lose the carbide teeth.
Broke it, but Laguna Customer Service rules!
I bought this to resaw some white oak for a project. While ripping some 5/4, it just snapped. I emailed Laguna to see if they could weld it. I was told they would not since it broke away from the original weld. Got hooked up with Nick Leroy. After I emailed pics of the broken blade, Laguna sent me a replacement. It's nice to find a company that stands behind their products. Love my 14/12 and the resaw king blade.
Works fantastically on the 1412
I'm using the resaw king to resaw ash right now, but will be using it for all sorts of woods. Works great and makes a very clean cut, as advertised. Very happy with the purchase. Also laguna resharpens the blade for $45: http://www.lagunatools.com/resharpening Which is pretty cool. Probably going to get a second blade some I'm never down.
