An upgrade worth the money.
I honed the blade and put it in my Stanley block plane. After using it on maple I immediately noticed the difference the blade made in my shavings. In comparison to my stock blade, the Hock stayed sharp. I think the steel thickness and being A-2 is an upgrade even a novice, like myself, will notice.
