Features: Specifications: What’s Included: FAQs
Is the scoring blade adjustable, and how easy is it to dial in?
Yes. The scoring blade on the TSV 60 is fully adjustable for depth and alignment, allowing it to score just the surface layer before the main blade follows. Festool designed the adjustment to be tool‑controlled and repeatable, so once it is dialed in for a material, it stays consistent; most users report it is straightforward to set and does not require trial‑and‑error after the initial setup.
Does it work with all existing Festool guide rails?
Yes. The TSV 60 is fully compatible with all standard Festool FS guide rails and can also be used with FSK cross‑cutting guide rails. The scoring feature works automatically when the saw is used on these rails and does not require a special or dedicated track.
What materials benefit the most from the scoring feature?
Primarily laminated panels, melamine, veneered sheet goods, and other surface‑coated materials where tear‑out is common. Solid wood generally does not benefit from the scoring blade.
