    General Finishes® Arm-R-Seal Oil Based Topcoat is an extremely durable varnish suitable for furniture, cabinets, millwork and case goods. The unique oil and urethane resins provide deep penetration into the substrate and forms a hard, tough, beautiful finish resistant to household chemicals, water and mar. It is formulated to be wiped on with a cloth or applied with a foam brush, thus eliminating drips and sags. Arm-R-Seal provides a warm look, sands well and is easy to apply and to maintain.

      Excellent product

      I used this product to refinish my kitchen cabinets. It was was easy to apply by wiping on with a rag for a nice even coat. Dries pretty quick and the finish seems to be durable. Highly recommended.

      Excellent wipe-on finish.

      I've been using this wipe-on finish exclusively for a couple of years. It is just great. No runs, no bubbles, no problem!

      Hand wiped finish

      I've used this on large furniture projects down to small boxes with excellent results. It might not be a good choice for heavy wear surfaces, unless you apply multiple coats. I have found that 3 normal coats does great.

      great stuff

      Just finished a custom built desk with product and it looks like it was sprayed not hand applied.

      Holds up well.

      The concentration is thick out of the can. I suggest cutting w/ mineral spirits to get a better application time vs film thickness (30%ms at first >>>10%ms for final coats).

      Best finish ever

      Perfect finish! Where has this finish been at? surely not in Hope Mills where I live. I bought a can online to finish some little tables I made of wormy Maple. It did an excellent job of bringing out the detail without the poly-look. I should have ordered 2 cans.
