If my kitchen were to be radiocarbon dated, it would fall somewhere between the fall of Rome and the discovery of electricity. My house, built in 1920, originally didn’t have much in the way of kitchen cabinets. One tall cabinet, secured opposite where the original stove would have been, was all the home’s Roaring 20′s inhabitants required. Sometime between the birth of rock-n-roll and the summer of free love, the home’s occupants decided they were going to need some place to store their Correlle and Tupperware. A decision was made to renovate the kitchen.

    Warped over time

I purchased this bench top about a year ago intending to use it for a workbench. The top was very nice, however the bottom was extremely rough and looked like no care whatsoever was put into finishing it. I never got around to finishing the project and instead the bench top has simply sat out as a casual work surface for that time. Over the course of a year or so the top has warped considerably. I'm probably going to have to rip and refinish the entire top to get it square again. Woodcraft warranty is 90 days so I'm stuck with it. I live in southern California so it isn't like it has seen excessive temperature swings. Needless to say I'm pretty disappointed.

    Don't have this shipped

Replaced two older work surfaces on woodworking benches. Great deal except shipping put some considerable damage on BOTH tables. One corner smashed beneath plastic corner guard (also smashed). Probably wouldn't have this shipped if had to do over. Good value. No, I would not recommend having this shipped but would recommend the product.

    Very nice.

I purchased this item to turn into a computer desk. The underside of the top that I recieved had a few flaws in it, but the top of it is near flawless. Shipping was fast and reasonable. Plastic corners were added to protect the corners of the top from being damaged in shipping and they worked well. I just wish a similar material had been used on all sides of the work top because one of the longer sides recieved a few minor dings while the other side recieved one major ding during shipping.

best top, best quality, Heavy duty.

The best quality [...] made this a great deal. Especially since it is about 40 miles to the store and would have had trouble getting into car.
