Working out of his shop in the woods of Vermont, Instructor Jay O'Rear was known for his fine shaker furniture and was featured in Country Living Magazine. Over a period of 4 days, students will learn how to safely use the core machinery and tools of the wood shop to make either an End Table or a Sofa Table, or any size in between. Students will be encouraged to be playful and creative within the basic parameters of shaker design, picking out and combining species of wood that strikes their fancy. Woodworking Series for Beginners - Wine Rack

This is a great beginner project. It holds three bottles of wine and several glasses. It sits on a table or counter and takes up little space. We will select and prep the wood. Mill it for final cutting Use the domino for joining. The table saw, miter saw, jointer and planer will be used. Safety on all machines will be stressed. Sanding and dry fit and final glue up will be the last day. Capacity 2 Three days 10 am-4pm

Introduction To Spoon Carving

Saturday, February 21, 2026, 1 PM - 5 PM

Come and learn the basics of spoon carving. Students will learn techniques then put them into practice on a ready made spoon blank. One blank will be provided for each student.
