Bring one piece of furniture and your repair supplies. Supplies can be purchased at Woodcraft at a 10% discount the day of the class.
This basic bowl class focuses on the craft of making a wooden bowl for everyday practical use. Instruction will include the basics of wood selection, mounting the wood to the lathe, design elements, and the use of bowl gouges and scrapers to turn and shape the bowl. Sanding and finishing techniques will also be discussed.
Want to buy rough lumber and mill it yourself? Need to flatten and square up your wood so you can cut it accurately for your project? The Jointer and Planer will help you quickly surface all four sides! We will cover safety, components, set up, checks, operations and best steps. Bring your 8/4 or 4/4 lumber or use ours. Please check your lumber for foreign objects.
