Woodworking Series for Beginners - Sofa Table

Get started in woodworking with this series of classes by building a fine Sofa table. Starting in part 1, you will learn to use hand and power tools, shop safety, selecting wood and preparation. In part 2, you will use cut lists, drawings, measuring, cutting parts to size, panelizing and gluing. In part 3 you will complete final cutting of parts, sanding and prepare for assembly. A discussion of finishing will follow. Eye protection, dust mask, hearing protection required.

Lathe Tool Sharpening

Dull tools prevent you from doing your best work and are dangerous. Let us show you a quick and easy way to sharpen your turning tools using a slow speed grinder and the Wolverine Jig. We'll help you with the steps to setting up the jig and how to get the most out of the jig so you'll be back to your turning project in no time. Just bring your own safety glasses and lathe tools and we will teach you what you need to know to have sharp lathe tools that are a joy to work with.
