This class covers basic router operations including router types, maintenance of router bits, and the various types of router bits and accessories. Each student will have the opportunity to practice edge routing, template routing, rabbiting and dadoing with the router.
Advance your turning skill, by learning to turn wooden bowls. This is a foundation course to turn bowls on any size lathe. Blank selection, form and turning safety will be covered. Students will leave with their own turned bowl.
In this follow-up course to table-saw 101, we will begin to put the eight basic cuts to work. Demonstration and practice making rabbits, lap joints, dados and tenons. Selection and set-up of dados blades will be discussed. Tool List: Safety glasses with side shields, dust mask, and hearing protection are mandatory. Shop apron, notebook and pencil are recommended.
