Students will learn to build a picture frame and cut mat board. During this class Michaela will teach you how to build a frame from prepared wood and to professionally mat your own photo or 2D piece of art: 4x6 or 5x7 inches. Take home a finish frame or give it as a gift for the upcoming holidays. Students should bring a 4x6 or 5x7 inch photo or 2D art work.

During this hands-on class students will learn about the different types of routers, router bits, maintenance procedures, and safety tips. After some open discussion about how a router can be an asset in your shop, you will move into actual operation. It is time for a few skill drills and learn to apply proper techniques to get a smooth profile on your project.
