Are you ready to take your woodworking skills to the next level? You will build your own truly unique folding rocking chair under the hands-on guidance of the chair’s designer. Made from high quality cherry and maple woods, it is sure to become a family heirloom. In the class, we will use the bandsaw, table saw, miter saw, drill press, drum sander, drill, router, and hand tools. Some pieces will be pre-cut before class. If you have some basic woodworking experience, come join us! Class size is limited to 4 students.

Dovetails Using The Porter Cable Dovetail Jig

Using the Porter Cable Dovetail Jig you will learn to make beautiful and strong dovetail joints.The Porter Cable jig is simple to use, but needs proper techniques to set it up, tune it, and use. The student will leave with the knowledge to make through and half-blind joints. No Refunds for Cancellations/Reschedules within 7 days of Class date.

Router Basics

Friday, December 19, 2025, 9 AM - 12 PM

During this hands-on class students will learn about the different types of routers, router bits, maintenance procedures, and safety tips. After some open discussion about how a router can be an asset in your shop, you will move into actual operation. It is time for a few skill drills and learn to apply proper techniques to get a smooth profile on your project. This is a great refresher class and stepping stone to the afternoon class which is Router Table Basics. No Refunds for Cancellations/Reschedules within 7 days of Class date.
