Photo memories are a great way to share special family events. Why not showcase them around your home in a picture frame you made? Join us for a day in the workshop and learn how to safely and creatively, design and build an 8in x 11in picture frame. After this class you will be able to create and build a variety of picture frames at home for your other photo memories. Each student is responsible for supplying their own safety glasses, hearing protection, dust mask, pencil, notebook, and tape measure. No open toed shoes will be allowed.

Furniture Building 101 - 3-Legged Sitting Stool

Build your very own 3-legged sitting stool in this furniture building class. You will learn the basic techniques needed for building more complex furniture, including tables and chairs. You will be introduced to "rake & splay", sight lines, tapered through tenons, blind tenons, and wedged joints. Each student is responsible for supplying their own bench planes (#3 or #4 & a #5), mallet, 4” bevel gauge, sanding block, 8” compass, cross cut saw, safety glasses and hearing protection. Bring your lunch.

Let us teach you to turn this popular, elegant pen. We will review the tips and techniques required to successfully drill, glue, turn, and finish acrylic pen blanks. Tools provided by the instructor include a sharp 1/2in spindle gouge and a sharp 3/16in parting tool. You may bring your own if you desire. Each student is responsible for supplying their own safety glasses and hearing protection.
