Students learn the basics along with safe operation of shop tools and make a simple project. Learn about the table saw, router table, planer, jointer & bandsaw along with sanding and finishing.
Partner with Woodcraft this Veterans Day to honor active-duty military personnel and those in rehabilitation centers with one-of-a-kind writing instruments. Turn a wood pen during the annual Woodcraft Turn for Troops National Turn-a-Thon at Woodcraft of Pittsburgh starting on Friday, November 14, and running through Sunday, November 16. Our military personnel sacrifice a great deal of time away from their families often in dangerous locations in harm's way to protect our country, so we feel it is important to remind them that folks appreciate them and that they are not forgotten. Volunteers do not need to bring anything to this event other than a desire to say thank you� to the troops. Tools, supplies, equipment and safety gear will be provided. And even those with no turning experience can participate.
