Creating Curves with Bent Lamination

The ability to bend wood introduces a new range of design possibilities, enhancing your work's diversity and quality. This class will teach you a common technique for creating curves where you’ll learn to resaw stock into strips, build a form for a simple curve, and glue and mount the strips on your form. In the second session, you'll remove the clamps and refine your piece using the jointer and bandsaw. By the end of the class, you'll have new skills to elevate your future woodworking projects. Basic experience using power tools is essential for this class. Note: a $20 materials fee (cash or Square) will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class.

NEW! Intro To Relief Wood Carving

Curious about wood carving? This relaxed, hands-on class is for you! You'll get an 8"x10" basswood block and all the tools needed to learn the basics of relief carving. With step-by-step guidance from the instructor, you’ll practice making cuts on the back of your board and then carve your very own piece on the front. Bring a sketch to carve or choose from options available in class. Kevin’s approachable style and years of experience make it easy to learn and fun! Note: A $10 material fee (cash or Venmo) is collected by the instructor at the beginning of class.

Looking for a unique night out? Join our Date Night Woodworking Class, where you and your partner will craft a custom cheese board and wine stopper—no experience needed! The Woodcraft owners, Timothy and Katherine, will guide you step-by-step in a relaxed, social setting, with all tools and materials provided, plus optional personalized engraving. Whether you're celebrating something special or just want a fun date night, you'll leave with two handmade keepsakes and a night full of creativity, teamwork, and fun! (Price includes all materials and 2 attendees per registration.)
