Intro To The Woodshop

Part 1: Saturday, April 11, 2026, 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Part 2: Sunday, April 12, 2026, 10 AM - 4 PM

Are you new to woodworking? Want to brush up on basic skills? The instructor will teach how to safely use the essential power tools in any woodshop. Students will learn how to set up cuts and operate a table saw, planer, jointer, band saw, miter saw, and drill press. These skills will be put into practice to create a charcuterie board which can proudly be shown off to family and friends. On day two go beyond the basics and create a beautiful slide top keepsake box! You will practice skills learned in order to gain confidence using essential power tools. Use this foundation to accomplish your woodworking project goals. Note: A $20 materials fee (cash or Venmo) will be collected by the instructor at time of class.

Inlays Part 1: Lines & Circles

Boost the value of your pieces by helping them stand out from the rest! Using a router and drill press, this class will demonstrate how simple geometric shapes can spark curiosity and give your work another dimension. If you're interested in giving your woodworking projects a strong visual impact, then this class is for you. Note: A $20 materials fee (cash or Square) will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class.

Intro To Relief Wood Carving

Tuesday, April 14, 2026, 6 PM - 9 PM

Curious about wood carving? This relaxed, hands-on class is for you! You'll get an 8"x10" basswood block and all the tools needed to learn the basics of relief carving. With step-by-step guidance from the instructor, you’ll practice making cuts on the back of your board and then carve your very own piece on the front. Bring a sketch to carve or choose from options available in class. Kevin’s approachable style and years of experience make it easy to learn and fun! Note: A $10 material fee (cash or Venmo) is collected by the instructor at the beginning of class.
