Purchase one of our many cutting board kits and we'll help you complete the cutting board. Participants will glue up the kit, cut it to size, thickness plane and sand it smooth. This is a 2-session class with the first session used to perform the glue-up and the second session to complete the cutting board.
This class covers set up and proper operation of the scroll saw. The class is hands-on and the students will participate in several practice exercises during the session. A great way to get comfortable with a fun tool.
Get to know and understand turning safety, the lathe and its attachments, tuning tools, wood grain orientation and its significance. The basics of tool sharpening will be covered as you get the feel of the tools and make beads/coves and chips. This is a fun class to get the fundamentals of spindle work and is a required class to proceed on to Introduction to Bowl Turning.
