Join Charlie and other carvers of all skill levels in four sequential sessions to learn the techniques of relief carving. Charlie Milliser is a well known local carver who truly enjoys sharing his vast knowledge of relief carving with his students. Please direct questions to Charlie at cjmilliser@gmail.com. Tuition is for 12 hours of class time. Students are required to participate in 4 sessions in a row.

Woodworking 101

Every woodworker knows that getting straight, true, and square cuts are half the battle in any woodworking project. In this class, we will teach you how to set up and correctly use a Jointer, Table Saw and Planer. While learning the fundamentals of these machines, you will make a project that you will be proud of. This is THE class to take if you are interested in getting started the right way in woodworking. Materials are included in the cost of the class. This one fills up fast, so sign up soon!

Introduction to Intarsia

Wednesday, May 21, 9 AM - 5 PM

Discover the art of intarsia woodworking in this hands-on beginner's class! Learn how to transform simple pieces of wood into stunning, multi-dimensional works of art. This course covers the fundamentals of intarsia, including selecting and preparing wood, cutting intricate patterns with a scroll saw, shaping and sanding for depth and texture, and assembling and finishing your project. As part of the class you will create a beautiful whale design, perfect for showcasing your newfound skills. Whether you're new to woodworking or looking to expand your talents, this class will guide you step-by-step through completing your first intarsia masterpiece. No prior experience is required, just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!
