Making an Epoxy River Coffee Table

Part 1: Saturday, October 18, 2025, 10 AM - 3 PM

In this hands-on class, students will learn how to create a stunning epoxy river coffee table from start to finish. You'll explore woodworking techniques, tricks on what not to do, and mix and pour epoxy resin to craft a unique, functional piece of art. Whether you're a beginner or have some woodworking experience, this class will guide you through each step, allowing you to build a custom coffee table that adds a personal touch to any space! The slab species will be walnut, and the table will roughly come to 18”x31”x1.5” when finished. You will have the choice of epoxy color and what type of metal legs (hairpin, trapezoidal, square). The price includes all material and tools used. You will leave with a finished coffee table that you made from start to finish. When signing up please choose what leg type you would like so the instructor can get those for you prior to class.

Intro To Bowl Turning

Sunday, October 19, 2025, 9 AM - 5 PM

In this course, students will learn how to turn a small wooden bowl from green wood. They'll go through the process of selecting, preparing, and mounting the wood on the lathe, discuss tool selection/use and sharpening, shaping/turning of the outside/inside, sanding/finishing and drying of green wood.

Date Night Crushed Stone Inlay Ring

Friday, October 24, 2025, 6 PM - 9 PM

This date night class is a great way for you and your partner to learn to make your own crushed stone or opal inlay rings, using the lathe to help with the process. Ring sizes are required upon signing up for the class so if the store doesn't have them we can get them ordered for you (if we have to order your size, make sure to allow time to come in)! The instructor will bring several colors of inlay materials to choose from, to make your ring unique! Each student will come away with some familiarity with using a mandrill and bushings on a lathe, as well as some basic jewelry inlay techniques, not to mention their own beautiful ring, and the knowledge to make more! The ring blank cost is not included in the class, each student will need to purchase the ring blank and a 10% discount will be applied. You will then need to bring it to the class with you.
