Turn a White Oak Bourbon Tumbler

Part 1: Sunday, October 5, 10 AM - 3 PM

Part 2: Saturday, October 11, 12 PM - 4 PM

You heard correctly.....time to add a new class! We have been working on how to get this done! Devon is ready! This is a two night class where we will use a router table to prepare the White Oak pieces, glue them together in the first night and then in the second class, turn them to form on a lathe, char/burn the inside and then maybe, if there is time, mozzie on down to Stone Bar and Grill and do a little tasting! You may need a friend to pick you up! You will make at least two of them!

Woodturning Date Night With Devon Palmer

Saturday, October 11, 6 PM - 10 PM

It's a Date! In this class, you and your partner will learn how to cut pen blanks, drill and mount the blanks on the lathe, turn the pen barrels and apply finish. Devon will first demo and review the process. Each of you will turn your pen taking the steps Devon featured with the final step of assembling the pen. Each student will complete a pen that they will be proud to show off during the class. No experience is necessary!

Turn a Cast Acrylic Ornament

Sunday, October 12, 12 PM - 4 PM

Turning Acrylic is different from Wood! Devon Palmer will show you how to turn an acrylic blank into beautiful Christmas Ornaments. No experience necessary. Devon will show you how carbide tipped turning tools, mesh sandpaper and micro mesh pads as well as polishing compounds bto bring the glitz out of acrylic!
