This class is designed to enhance your turning skills, creativity, and knowledge of determining sizes and cutting segments skills. The class is a 3-day class as laid out below: Day 1: Each student will be provided with the required slats for a segmented bowl with dimensions approximately 7 ½” tall x 10” in diameter. With the assistance of the instructor, each student will cut their segments and glue up their rings (approximately 9-10 rings and a bottom disk. Day 2: With the assistance of the instructor, each student will sand their rings using the Drum Sander. Once each student has sanded their rings, they will begin assembling their rings to form a bowl. We will let the bowl dry overnight. Day 3: With the assistance of the instructor, each student will begin turning and forming their bowl. *These steps and days are not engraved in stone. If we have time during Days 1 & 2, we will proceed to the next step.
