Discover the most versatile tool in the woodshop — the bandsaw! 🪚 In Bandsaw 101, you’ll go beyond the basics with a hands-on introduction to setup, safety, and skill-building. Learn how to track and tension your blade, adjust guides and table angles, and choose the right blade for every job. You’ll practice cutting straight lines, curves, and relief cuts, master resawing techniques, and explore how to correct blade drift and troubleshoot common issues. We’ll also cover blade maintenance, cleaning, and safety habits to keep your saw running smoothly. Shaker Hall Table

Part 1: Friday, February 27, 2026, 9 AM - 5 PM

This 3-day class utilizes a combination of hand tools and power tools in the construction of a classic Shaker Hall Table. The table measures 14" x 30", by 32" high. The class is intended for the beginner/intermediate woodworker who is interested in furniture making. With the instructor’s guidance each student will process rough lumber to a finished table. Various skills and techniques will be used in the construction of the table, including building and fitting a dovetail drawer, creating tapered legs, beaded aprons, mortise and tenon joinery and grain matching are a few the student learn while making the Shaker Hall Table. Time permitting finishing will be discussed. Class size is limited. $230 Materials Fee Payable to Instructor
