By combining different components, you can create just about any different shape or size and by arranging different wood species, you can create just about any type of surface design. Two of the main benefits of segmented turning are 1. Using less wood to create a bowl and 2. NO end grain turning. In this class the student will make a lovely keepsake/jewelry box for keeping memorabilia, trinkets, or jewelry in. In this bowl turning class we will start with a 4" cube, and you will be guided through the steps of turning your very own Tri-Corner Bowl. Turning a Tri-Corner Bowl requires the student to have some turning experience.
