Come One, Come All... Turn a Pen for our Troops! No Experience Necessary! Our experienced Volunteers & Staff will help you with the basic skill to turn a pen. (This is not a Pen Turning Class). Pen Turning not required, you are welcome to write a note to go with a pen. We provide a card that anyone can write a note! Stop by the store to fill one out anytime you are nearby! We provide everything needed to complete a pen. This is a Free Event!

Scroll Saw Basics HOLIDAY EDITION!

Holiday Edition! Make a Holiday Themed Project you can keep for yourself or give as a gift! Scroll Sawing is a very enjoyable woodworking hobby. It has many styles that let you make beautiful pieces within scroll sawing, fret work or intarsia. This introducion class helps you practice and learn the correct way to easily do these with an expert instructor. You will complete beginning pieces in the class to take home with you.

Everyone has trinkets and mementos they like to keep stashed away in a safe place. What better place than a handcrafted box you make yourself. In this class you will make a small Keepsake Box where can keep your special things and you will be proud to show off.

Beginning Woodworking 101

Saturday, December 28, 9 AM - 4 PM

This beginning woodworking class will easily guide you through the first steps of woodworking and you will end up with a cutting board. You'll learn about lumber, safety, power equipment use, project layout, assembly techniques, and finishing approaches. All of your questions can be answered in this hands-on class, and it will be fun.

Parent/Grandparent & Child Pen Turning

It's the Family Time of the Year! Christmas is over, New Years is not here yet... Kids are out of school and parents are trying to find ways to keep them entertained. A fun event for the family... learn to turn a Pen! Beginning lathe work is easy with this wooden pen making class. Intro To Pyrography

In this beginning class you will will be introduced to the basic tools and methods of Pyrography (wood burning). It's fun, it's easy, and anyone can do it. Come give it a try!

Wooden Pen Turning

Beginning lathe work is easy with this wooden pen making class. Students will learn basic turning techniques on a mini-lathe while making their very own wooden ink pen. Exceptional handouts and instructions will enable students to make additional pens after the class at their homes. You will have a beautiful pen that you can show.

Tri Corner Bowl Turning

In this bowl turning class we will start with a 4" cube, and you will be guided through the steps of turning your very own Tri-Corner Bowl. Turning a Tri-Corner Bowl requires the student to have some turning experience.
