Cabinet styles and design considerations will be discussed that can be adapted for several different applications including kitchen cabinets, entertainment centers, and bookcases. Construction of the cabinet carcass, face frame and drawer will employ the Kreg Joinery system and construction of the raised panel door will utilize the traditional cope and stick method. Additional joinery techniques for the carcass, face frame, drawer and door will be discussed. You will learn the safe and proper use of the table saw, compound miter saw, router table and finishing sander as you complete the project.

The teacher will guide the student in various applications penetrating finishes in the morning. Then in the afternoon the teacher will go over the application of various topcoats. The student will use various application methods that include brushes, rags & paper towels.
A method/sequence will be given so the student will be able to achieve predictable results.
