The table saw is the centerpiece of any woodworking shop. However, many people are not getting the best performance from this critical machine. We will cover such topics as safe operations, proper blade selection, how to check it during use, and tricks and tips to make sure it continues to perform as you want it to. Hands on work will include basic rip cuts and cross cuts.
In this class you will tune up your skills by using the band saw, spindle sander, belt sander, disk sander, clamping and gluing. With expert guidance from Harlem, you will take a simple block of wood and turn it into a beautiful box. The skills you learn will enable you to progress into many other uses for your band saw.
