This full-day, hands-on workshop is dedicated to mastering handcut dovetails, with a focus on both through dovetails and half-blind dovetails. Students will learn the essential skills behind accurate layout, marking, sawing, and chiseling, along with techniques to achieve clean, tight-fitting joints. We’ll cover tool selection, grain awareness, and step-by-step methods to build confidence working by hand. Throughout the day, students will practice each stage of the process and complete sample joints they can take home as a reference for future projects. By the end of the class, students will have a solid foundation in handcut dovetail joinery and the confidence to incorporate it into their own woodworking projects.
