This introductory class is designed for kids ages 8 to 15 years old, who are interested in learning about the world of Woodworking. The class will include the completion of a small project to take home.
Are you ready to take your turning skills up a notch? Then come take this lidded box class. David will take you on a journey to turn a block of wood into a custom turned lidded box. Along this journey we will discuss wood selection, holding methods, box design and finishing. We will spend time on the different tools we use and the proper turning techniques to achieve a box that will be a lasting treasure.
Leave with a beautiful poplar floating shelf. Learn to use 5 core tools along the way: tape measure, speed square, drill/driver, circular saw, sander and more. NOTE: While this class is designed as part of the Built Pretty Series (Class 1/5), it can be taken as a standalone course.
Learn the basics of woodturning, from safe lathe setup to fundamental cutting techniques for bowls, spindles, and small projects.
