Welcome to the exciting world of pen turning! This class is made for all ages eight and up. Starting with a nice piece of wood and some hardware, by the end of class you have a beautiful, functional pen you made yourself. Learn the fundamentals of creating a pen, from wood and tool selection to proper lathe techniques and finishing.
If you are thinking about buying a tablesaw or have recently purchased one. This class is designed to introduce the beginning woodworker to this versatile tool and its many uses. We will cover table saw set up, ripping, cross cuts and more.
Learn to make perfect dovetail joints using a router and the Porter Cable 4200 series dovetail jig. You will create sample joints half blind dovetails. Setup and tuning of the joints will be explained and demonstrated.
Stop in and learn how to create a timeless hand cut dovetail. We’ll provide tips and tricks to get a snug joint and talk through the tools you’ll need to get started.
Sometimes bigger isn’t better – let us show you how to get your small turning projects to turn out just as you want them.
Using your router to create projects gets a little easier with a jig or template. We’ll walk you through the basics how to rout with a template.
