Our Hand-Tool expert, Howard Hale, has created a great new class inwhich everyone will build a full size, wall hanging hand-tool cabinet. This "major cabinet building class" will have each student machining top quality Oak plywood and Oak hardwood. The tool cabinet design is based on the traditional old world layout that allows each of your hand-tools to have a special place to hang. The cabinet measures a whopping 17" deep x 30" wide x 36" tall and includes two 4" deep doors that will hold lots of chisels, screw drivers ormeasuring tools. THURSDAY & FRIDAY NIGHT will start with design, layout, rough plywood and hardwood cutting. SATURDAY will be very busy with construction and glue-up of the main box and doors. SUNDAY will include door hardware and the tool hanging jig/holders will be designed and some will get made. Students should bring their hand tools and get ideas on how to complete all the hanging jig/holders at home as their hand-tool collection grows over time. This is a wonderful class with great results. You will have a spectacular Hand-tool cabinet that will last forever. NOTE: THIS IS A PHYSICALLY CHALLENGING CLASS...PLEASE COME PREPARED!!
