HANDS-ON. OUR MOST POPULAR CLASS!! ADULTS ONLY - NO YOUTH - 18 YEARS AND OLDER. This foundation course introduces you to the wonderful world of woodworking. You will learn how to set alignment and use the chop saw, table saw, jointer, planner, band saw, router table and a stationary sander. Safety will be emphasized with each machine. Each student will complete a hands-on project using basic joinery techniques. Types of wood and finishing techniques will also be discussed. HANDS-ON. We have a great new teacher and an awesome new class for beginning CNC-VCarve students! Guest teacher Graham Gadd has been teaching STEM, robotics and engineering for over 26 years. He has taught how to use Vectric-VCarve and Shark CNC machines for over 15 years. This hands-on class will teach the VCarve basics including; Job Set-up, File Operations, Creating Vectors, Setting Material Toolpaths, Saving G-code files and cutting a simple piece of material. CLASS REQUIRMENTS: Students MUST bring a Laptop with Vectric-VCarve ALREADY INSTALLED. You can go to "Vectric.com" to download the software.
