Great value and high quality materials
Made my first set of knife scales and installed them in 3 hours today. Very pleased with the product and would recommend. Would also recommend using your own T8 torx driver to install the screw rivets. The tools that come with the kit are weak. Everything else is 5 star.

Nice little skinner for tight work...
Fits my medium-sized hand really well. Overall design and metal finish are very crisp. Edge was very sharp from factory. I added some high end California Buckeye burl for handles using mosaic pins instead of the ugly hardware it came with- and topped it with CA glue finish buffed to a medium gloss. Turned out nice.

Very nice starter knife kit
This was the first knife kit that I ever assembled. I have now be assembling and using stock removal to create about 20 knives so far. This is my favorite kit and design. Pros: Love the shape of the blade, love the finish that resists corrosion, love the feel and cutting finesse. Cons: would not reccomend using the provided screws. Very difficult to set - takes 2 or 3 tries to get depth just right. My suggestion is just use brass round stock or stainless (4mm I think) to set the handles instead. Or upgrade to fancy pin inlays. And wish that the edge retention was just a little better. Gave this to a retiring Marine MSG and he LOVED IT. Can not go wrong. Black sheath is functional but found myself replacing it with hand-sewn bourbon colored veg tan leather (a skill that takes a little while to perfect).

Nice knife
This was my first knife kit. I decided not to use the provided screws. Not of fan of creating somewhere for stuff to collect while skinning. I swapped out screws for pins. I used purple heart for the scales. Shaped, sanded and coated with Danish oil.

Great kit
I really like this kit. Granted, this was my first attempt at a knife, I think it turned out very nice and I learned several things along the way. Instead of using the screw rivets that came with the kit, I used strait brass stock (4mm thick) and I think this provides a much better look.

This is a great kit
I'll be honest, this is my first attempt at a knife, but I really like this kit. After finishing the handle it feels really good in my hand and the sheath sits nice on the waist. I used straight 4MM brass stock instead of the pins it came with, and I think this looks much better. I used Bocote wood for the handle and it provides a nice weight.
