  Avery Dennison has developed a tape specifically for the woodworking market that allows for easy repositioning, dry assembly or use with pattern templates. One side has a thin permanent adhesive. The adhesive on the opposite side sticks to the surface and does not allow lateral movement, but when pulled straight away from the surface it releases cleanly with no remaining residue. This is a great advantage for template work because you do not have to sand the residue from the surface. It also works well for dry fitting pieces for assembly and is especially useful in installing drawer fronts before they are permanently attached. Each 1" x 50' roll comes in a reusable clamshell to keep the tape clean and for easy storage.

  Woodcraft has brought together the most exceptional stock of domestic and exotic hardwood knife scale blanks, either 1"-thick solid stock or matching 3/8" pieces. Each piece is selected for its striking figure, and blanks are milled to sizes that make the knife making process easy and efficient with minimal waste.
  
  Black Palm (Borassus flabellifer) has a brown background streaked with elongated dark brown and black vascular bundles. Black Palm has a medium to fine texture with straight grain. The end grain exhibits an interesting spotted appearance and the elongated bundles terminate in an interesting “eye” that glows when polished, revealing spectacular results. This wood is hard and heavy and the bundles can be quite stringy, so extremely sharp tools are required. Common uses include walking sticks, knife and tool handles, furniture and turned objects.

  WoodRiver® Micarta Knife Scale is a hard, compact material that will not warp, expand or shrink with age or exposure to weather – a superior choice for knife handles. Similar in construction to G10, Micarta is made of thin layers of linen cloth that are soaked in phenolic resin, baked and pressed into huge sheets. It has no surface texture and is extremely smooth to the touch. As this knife scale is shaped, a unique pattern emerges due to the different layers.

  System Three® Blade Pro epoxy is a two-component, high-performance adhesive designed specifically for the knife maker. This state-of-the-art adhesive forms tenacious, super tough, flexible bonds to wood, Micarta, G10, and other composites, as well as nonferrous metals and stainless and carbon steels. Blade Pro is also low in viscosity and is easy to spread, making it suitable for both full and hidden tang applications. It mixes at an easy 1:1 ratio, and working time is 45 minutes, with full cure in 3 days at 70°.
