Beautiful but not sharp
Love the styling and the mechanics; will be a fine tool for years to come. Just surprised that the factory did not put a nice sharp edge on it before they sent it out. Even my Stanley #92 had an edge that was “surgical” out of the box.

Pleasantly surprised
I am normally a vintage, USA-made tool enthusiast but received this plane as a gift and decided to give it a try. It requires almost zero setup/tuning before use and has worked very well for almost a year now. Great for cleaning up tenons. It looks a little busy for my taste, but that doesn't affect performance.

Really Works Well
Was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It is well made and is a quality product. It reasonably holds in own against my Lie-Neilson shoulder plane.

You must own one
Wonderfully machined piece of equipment. Tuned up in no time and shaves almost transparent pine curls. Smooth and clean strokes in red oak too and cleaned up a number of dados in no time. A fine tool I look forward to using whenever I can.
