This dedicated 1" x 8 TPI Self-Centering 4-jaw Chuck is perfect for lathes with a 16" or less swing and weighs in at only 3.9 pounds. The 3-1/2"-diameter body of the WoodRiver® chuck features a tri-gib profile on the master jaw slides to provide a smoother and more stable movement. Chuck also features a wide range of jaw movement, quick action and a powerful grip in either expansion or contraction modes.
Equipped with 50 mm jaws, chuck will expand and grip in a 2"-2-3/4" dovetail recess in the base of your turning. Chuck firmly holds round stock between 1-5/8" and 2-7/16" diameter. No disassembly or tools are required to use the accompanying woodworm screw, which has a 1-1/4"-long right-hand thread.
