Details

Hickory (Carya ovata) is extremely tough and resilient with the rustic charm of color variety and open grain. Heartwood tends to be light to medium brown, with a reddish hue; sapwood is a paler yellowish brown. Boards with contrasting heartwood and sapwood create a somewhat rustic appearance that’s sometimes marketed as Calico Hickory. These slabs are ideal for crafting unique dining tables, coffee tables, workbenches, desks, bar tops, dressers, countertops, and shelving. Each slab is unique, showcasing natural grains and imperfections that add character to the finished piece. The natural beauty and durability of hickory make it a popular choice for both rustic and contemporary designs.
Slab measures 1-3/4" x 18" x 46" and has been surfaced both sides.
