Ways to use them?
Gave it some thought and figured out these will be great used with allthread to make custom t-bolts to get the exact length needed. I plan to use some JB weld to fix the t-nut to the threaded rod then use a 1/4-20 knob.

How to use them?
I have a box full of assorted knobs and assorted 1/4-20 hex bots for use in t-track and jig making. I bought a pkg of these thinking I'd find a use for something that looks so handy, but my imagination keeps coming up short. Even the picture where they are advertised has them simply sitting on a board while t-bolts are in use. The only thing I come up with is perhaps making your own knobs using these in a drilled hole in a short piece of hardwood with the t-head recessed into a shallow dado on the back side. Any ideas out there?

Useful product
The sliding t-nuts are great for T-track applications as well as for strong anchors in wood projects.

Barrel too wide
While these nuts are good quality and quite affordable, the OD on the barrel measures ~ .301", which is too wide to fit in a t-slot cut with a 1/4" bit. This makes them incompatible with the Whiteside 98-389 Small T-Slot Router Bit (#128256) that I also purchased from woodcraft at quite a premium. I was able to cut most of the barrel off with a dremel tool, which then allowed the nut to fit in the slot.

Barrels too long for my use
The barrels on these T-Nuts extended too far to fit in the T-Track that I had so I couldn't use them for what I had intended, otherwise they would have worked great. I am sure I will find another use for them, the price couldn't be beat though. [...]
