Our 320-Grit Blue Black Shapton Traditional/Professional Ceramic Waterstone is designed for professional use. It cuts very quickly and is formulated to remove high-carbon steel with a much cleaner scratch pattern but holds its flat surface much longer than other coarse grit stones on the market.
The stone is fired at a high temperature with a mixture of coarse 320 abrasive and a clay binder. It is 8-1/4" x 2-3/4" x 5/8" and is shipped in a plastic storage case that can be used as a stone holder while sharpening. The case has rubber feet to help prevent slippage.
These “Splash and Go” stones do not absorb water and do not need to be soaked. Shapton Traditional Stones are often called the Shapton Pro or Professional Stones. Each name refers to the same Shapton series of stones.
