Rosewood, East Indian Wooden Guitar Sides and Back Set
(Dalbergia latifolia) East Indian Rosewood is a very popular wood for guitar makers. Its purple-brown heartwood features beautiful figuring of darker streaks, and the grain is commonly interlocked, producing a narrow ribbon figure of quartersawn surfaces. Fairly hard to machine or saw....

Avoid this back and side set
I ordered two sets and both were unusable. One set was riddled with wormholes and the other had a knot so significant it fell out of the wood as I was working it to the proper thickness. The sets came with heavy band saw marks that masked the flaws. Unfortunately by the time I finally got around to using the sets, I was well outside the warranty period. It looks like I'm stuck with some practice wood. There are better options for guitar back and side sets. I suggest looking elsewhere.

Disatisfied
The sides are definitely not A grade. I thought I would try these because the price was good, but once again you get what you pay for. When I tried steam bending the sides, they split laterally along a defect. I am an experienced guitar builder. I highly recommend purchasing AAA grade material.

Great value!
This is nice straight-grained material and was an excellent value at the sale price. It will become a very nice instrument.
