Working together with renowned blade manufacturer, IBC, Woodcraft is proud to introduce the new line of Pinnacle plane blades. The evidence of IBC’s plane blade manufacturing expertise is extensive, but its name is still vastly unknown to woodworkers. Instead of being the best-kept secret in woodworking industry, the goal of the IBC brand is to become synonymous with "the best plane irons in woodworking." Match these blades against any other manufacturer…you will not regret it. You won’t need to examine the factory edge under a microscope to see these blades are superior, you’ll feel it the first time you use one! Fully stress relieved. Air hardened. Cryogenically treated. Honed razor sharp - "will shave hair out of the box." Fully demagnetized. Precision ground top/bottom. Precision ground/hand polished sides. Rust protection: micro-thin film, water-soluble rust inhibitor, rust inhibitor paper wrap. All IBC products are 100% manufactured in Canada. Previously available only as original manufacturer's equipment, these blades are designed for and are 100% compatible with Stanley planes. All blades are A2 tool steel, Rc 60-62.

    Badly Sharpened

I like buying North American-made products, but this blade was a disappointment. It was badly sharpened upon arrival, with an odd back-bevel that prevented it from cutting well. (My stock Stanley #4 blade far outperformed it.) Woodcraft was nice about taking it back and refunding my money.

"I would buy this product again & again

This blade is the finest quality steel I have yet used. It was scary sharp out of the box. Makes my fifty year old Craftsman plane work much better than when it was new. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Many thanks to the technical support person who help me select it. It's a pleasure doing business with people like you.

Excellent quality tools are hard to come by these days but not this blade

    Great blade.

Right out of the box I put it in my Stanley #5 and was getting paper thin shavings. Good blade.

    This blade is FANTASTIC!

When my blade arrived at my door i was terribly excited. I opened the box and saw this massively thick blade and i was blown away. I wasted no time putting a third micro bevel at the cutting edge. I put it in my Stanley no.4 smoothing plane and made test cuts on white pine. I was getting curley shavings, the way its suppose to be. I can't wait to show this thing off to my woodworking teachers at trade school.

    great product

Realy improves the performance of a hand plane. Some metal had to be remove from the throat to ensure the iron remained flush with the frog.
