Great tool, accurate for fence and depth
This is a fine tool for precision work in adjusting fences on my saws and for the depth on all kinds of saw blades. It's easy to adjust even tiny amounts with the accurately molded ridges that provide tactile indication every 1/32". Great for maintaining accuracy for resawing and other depth/width work, especially during work when new cuts or repeat cuts are required at several stages or on consecutive days. My only minor complaint is that it would be easier to read if the inch and cm scales were printed in black or red as they are on my other Incra rulers, etc.. Maybe I'm gettin' old, but the gray numbers on the gray gauge make it a little hard for me to see. I finally took a sharpie, and put black on the raised lines every 1/4" that are also molded into the gauge. Otherwise it's a fantastic tool.

For center finding it is worth the price
While very useful for marking and bit/blade height, I find its ability to mark the center line of board edges invaluable. Many people make their own jig for this kind of thing, but that requires some precision as well. For under $20, I would much rather have this multi purpose tool. Adjusting it for height/depth/distance can be a little sticky, but that is due to the raised/embossed graduations. So, as a result it does give you more than visual feedback on your settings. That is unique. I find it a little difficult to hold and mark with some times, but that is minor and as a result it just missed 5 stars. Still, for the price, you simply have to get one.
