The Hults Bruk Almike Hatchet is a small, all-purpose hatchet intended for such tasks as making kindling, light clearing and any number of other backcountry jobs. It is small enough to be worn on a belt, yet the 1-lb. head and 16" handle length make it large enough for tougher tasks.

The Almike Hatchet head is made from Swedish axe steel struck multiple times during shaping and forging, which increases both the density and durability of the hatchet head. Plus the head is constructed in such a way that there is a tempered zone designed to hold a very sharp edge even after years of use. Handle is American hickory treated with linseed oil. A traditional leather sheath is included.

Overall weight: 1.75 lbs.

Hults Bruk Premium Axes/Hatchets
Hults Bruk Premium axes/hatchets are hardworking pieces of art unrivaled by even the best known brands. They are meticulously hand finished to increase durability and bring out the beauty of the natural material. After the firing and the forging, all axe/hatchet heads go through several stages of hand grinding until the edge is razor-sharp. Then the hickory handles are manufactured, hand-sanded smooth, oiled with several coats of linseed oils and joined with the axe/hatchet head. All premium axes/hatchets come with a full-sized leather edge protector with adjustable lace.
