Hock blades are tops in my book-I refurbish and use old Type 11 Stanley planes, and the first thing I do is replace the blade and chipbreaker with Hock's. What I hate most is flattening the backs and sharpening these, as they are so hard, but when they are sharp they stay that way for a long long time, then a simple honing keeps them in shape.
