Good Stuff
I followed the advice given by Paul Sellers. You can google his videos on sharpening. I use this on a homemade strop (just some craft store suede leather on a pine board). Just rub some on like a crayon, and use it to put that final edge on my plane blades and chisels. The compound does build up and become glossy, but I haven't noticed any loss in performance when it does that. This really does present a cheap option to getting a super fine 16K grit stone.

Green Chrome Oxide Compound, 6 oz.
Packaging says it's for use with power stroppers. I'm doing everything by hand and I'm not very experienced. I'm not sure if this is best for sharpening and stropping blades by hand. It would be nice for the description online to touch on this point.

A REAL HEAVY WEIGHT COMPOUND.
I USE IT ON THE SHARPENING WHEEL AND HONING STRAP.

Sure puts the edge on a blade
I bought this to use on my homemade strops for sharpening my bushcraft and survival knives. A little goes a long way, so I expect that bar to last me forever! It does what they claim it does--finishes the sharpening job by removing burrs and leaving a razor sharp edge.
