      Nice Design, Poor Construction

I bought this plan because it looks like the exact design and size I'm seeking. I was very disappointed in the construction techniques which includes butt joining large plywood panels. This technique offers little strength, especially laterally, in a fairly heavy project that, because of the doors and drawers, must have enough lateral strength to keep it square. The use of the 1/4 inch back does not, IMHO, offer the kind of support that using simple screw and glue dado joints in the panel connections would offer. Since I like the design I will need to carefully review and modify dimensions to accomodate the addition of stronger joinery. Not what I expect from a furniture plan.

Entertainment Center Plans - Lack Detail

This article needs better assembly drawings to show how the individual parts go together. There are no drawings to show how the vertical partitions should be mounted onto the base, nor are there any drawings to show how the back attaches to the rest of the cabinet carcase.
