One of the most difficult tasks to overcome in furniture construction is attaching table-tops or other large surfaces to the apron or carcass beneath them. The difficulty lies in how to allow for seasonal movement of the wood above yet maintain a secure connection between these components. These unique router bits let you create screw slots so that panels can be held in place but are able to move without splitting the wood. The washer-head screw slotting bit is designed for washer-head and pan head screws by utilizing 1/2" counter-bore and 11/64" pilot diameters with a 13/16" overall cutting length. The flat-head screw slotting bit is designed for flat-head screws to cut a 7/16" wide slot tapering to 11/64" wide with a 61/64" overall cutting length. Both bits have a 1/2" shank.
